Hello, this is Nina.
Recently, a mother and daughter from Australia stayed with us. They were on a one-month trip around Japan! When we talked, they told me, “We love Japanese food!”
So, we decided to cook together! We made a simple meal with Onigiri (rice balls) and Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet). It was such a warm and special evening.
Connecting with People Through Our “Evening Interaction Time”
Eating delicious food at local restaurants is a great part of traveling. However, I also believe that spending time with other guests and staff at the guesthouse becomes a special travel memory.
On this evening, we enjoyed chatting about many things, like “What kind of food is popular in Australia?” and “What do you usually cook at home?” Sharing our cultures and travel stories was so much fun! It was a very happy time for me, too.
Seeing a mother and daughter traveling together was truly inspiring. I hope this night in Kanazawa became a wonderful memory for them.
