Why not take a short trip from Kanazawa to Himi in Toyama Prefecture?
A direct bus between JR Kanazawa Station West Plaza and Himi Banya-gai is currently operating on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until December 27, 2026.
The journey takes about 70 minutes with no transfers, and the one-way fare for adults is 1,000 yen.
Himi is famous for its winter yellowtail, which comes into season around November. The Amaharashi Coast is also spectacular, with views of the snow-covered Tateyama Mountain Range across the sea.
You can travel from Kanazawa to Himi not only by train via Takaoka, but also directly by bus from Kanazawa Station.
