ポンギー代表のまさきです。
ポンギーで長年、スタッフ・マネージャーとして働いてきた「まる」が、
先日ポンギーを卒業し地元の大阪に帰りました。
７年近くの年月、ポンギーに自分の２００％の力を注いできた仲間
（というか家族同然）でした。
まるは、ゲストさんにはいつも笑顔で接し、ど’がつくほどの正直者の
頑張り屋さんです。
裏表なくいつもハートでこころからゲストさんをお迎えする姿勢は、
おもてなしの原点だと思っています。
まるがポンギーを去るにあたって、国内外の多くの方から惜しまれ、
ねぎらいのメッセージが届いていることはそのことを証明していると
思います。
ポンギーでは、
「自分が生き生き働き、ゲストさんによい想い出を持って泊まっていただき、
収益の一部をアジアの子供たちの自立支援に役立てる」
というハッピーサイクルを大切にしています。
まるはポンギーのアジア支援の責任者でもありました。
チャリティーのフリ―マーケットも「一人でもやる！」気持ちでテントを出す
ほど、一つ一つに全力投球で臨んでいました。
他者に対して手を差し伸べるには、自分をとことん見つめる姿勢が
求められますが、同時に、まるは、ポンギーにいる間、誰よりも真剣に
そのことを実践してきたと思います。
＊ポンギーに来た当初、本気スイッチを入れるために頭を坊主に
するほどでした。
正直、まるがいない実感はまだ湧いていませんが、まるがポンギーに
注いできたハートは間違いなく、ゲストさん、ポンギーの仲間、そして、
私とポンギーのハートの中にしっかりと築かれています。
本当にお疲れさまでした。ありがとう。
まるがポンギーで経験したことを生かし、これから益々活躍していく
ことを祈っています。

This is Masaki, Representative of Guest House Pongyi..
"Maru" who has been working as a staff/manager for many years at Pongyi retired the other day recently and went back to her home town Osaka.
She has put her 200 % energy for Pongyi’s job for nearly 7 years.
She was like a family rather than a staff.
She always welcomed guests from the heart without front and back,
I think that it is the origin of hospitality.
When Maru left Pongyi, many people sent message from all over the world.
I think this proves her heart.

This Happy Cycle is what we put importance on.
Maru was also responsible for Asian children support in Pongyi.
She was doing her best at a charity free market with a feeling ‘ Do it even alone !’
Looking at yourself well is very important thing when you reach out to other people.
She has been practicing this more than anyone else.
Honestly, I don’t feel that she is not here yet, but the heart she poured in Pongyi is undoubtedly engraved on the heart of all guests, our colleague, me and Pongyi.
