This is Masaki, I am the representative of Guest House Pongyi.
On January 1, 2024, at around 16:00, there was a major earthquake on the Noto Peninsula with an intensity of 7 on the Japanese scale.
Kanazawa was hit by an earthquake of intensity 5, but it was the biggest tremor I have ever experienced.
Thanks to the earthquake, I and the landlady Nina, are safe and fine.
Although some of the interior walls of our bedroom were peeled off and some dishes fell off the shelves, there was no major damage to the building of Pongee, and lifelines have been secured.
As of January 2, small aftershocks are still continuing, so we will continue to be careful of any major shaking.
For the time being, we will not be accepting new reservations.
Thank you very much for your understanding in advance.
